I'll never forget how my Mom dealt with teachers calling her about things I had done. One of them once called her at 7AM to find out why I hadn't done a homework assignment. She responded "Do you realize it's 7AM and I don't get up until 8". Another time a teacher called her complaining that I had been acting up in class and not treating her with respect.
